Wedding season is upon us and many of you have been dreaming about the perfect dress since you were a little girl. Here are some tips on finding one best for you.

1. Making the most of your first appointment at a bridal shop is the first step. Since you have probably amassed stacks of pictures of your dream dresses, try to narrow down your options. Fewer choices will make for a less stressful shopping experience.

2. When choosing a dress, choose a silhouette that will highlight your most loved body parts and conceal your least favorite.

3. Define your body type. If you are unsure, have your dress consultant take measurements and remember most people don’t fit into just one category.

4. Trust your dress consultant. You may have the exact idea of what you want but be open to their suggestions. They will often surprise you.

5. Make sure to bring supportive guests. It’s YOUR wedding dress, negativity is not necessary!
