Finding the Perfect Prom Dress

Prom season is right around the corner so here are some great tips to help you find the perfect dress!

CALL AHEAD: If you have a particular store in mind, call ahead to make an appointment with a salesperson. They will be able to point you in the right direction on what will work best for your body type. Remember, don’t be afraid to try on things you don’t necessarily love on the rack. Often times those are the ones that will surprise you by looking the best on you.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY: In order to get the best idea of how your dress will look on prom night, make sure you bring (or wear) what you plan to wear under the dress. This way you’ll know exactly how the dress will look and feel. Also, if you have an idea of the style and heel height of the shoes you play on wearing, bring them or a similar pair.

THE SMALLER THE ENTOURAGE, THE BETTER: Have you ever heard the expression “Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth.”? The same idea goes for dress shopping. Everyone has an opinion, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be stressful when picking out a dress.
