AN EASY WAY TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE
As the temperature drops this month and we find ourselves pulling out our winter gear, there will be thousands across Connecticut who will not have that same luxury. That’s why Best Cleaners started COATS FOR CONNECTICUT. Now in its sixth year, our community coat drive has helped keep Connecticut warm with over 24,000 coats collected, cleaned and distributed to those in need. This year’s campaign kicks off on November 7 and runs through January 3. Best customers, friends and the general public are asked to drop off gently-used winter coats for all ages at any of Best’s 11 locations for free cleaning and delivery to Salvation Army centers in the greater Hartford, Middletown, Meriden, Bristol, New Britain, Bridgeport, New Haven, New London and Waterbury areas. It’s an easy way to make a big difference in someone’s life.
In addition to the Salvation Army, our COATS FOR CONNECTICUT partners include Eyewitness News 3, The River 105.9 and YZ 92.5 and Young’s Printing/Fast Signs. Their participation and support of the campaign has been the driving factor behind its success and this year should be even better. On Friday, November 7, Eyewitness News Reporter Nicole Nalepa will be reporting live from our Glastonbury location from 4:30 am until 7:00 am while Cory Myers of Country 92.5 radio will be on hand from 7 am until 9 am giving out $5 Dunkin Donuts gift cards to all those who donate a coat. Hope to see you there!
