Got Mud? Let Best help you get it out.

Mud season is here (yuck!) and all that dirt can take a toll on your clothes. Mud can be harder to clean than you think so follow these tips to get it out without ruining your clothes.

1. Let it dry. Trying to remove wet mud can spread and possibly set the stain in farther.

2. Once the mud is dry, gently scrape off excess debris with a plastic spoon or knife.

3. Take a small soft brush or toothbrush and gently brush away the remaining dirt.

4. Pre-treat the area with a small amount of liquid detergent and rub it into the stain. Adding a small amount of water, continue to rub with the toothbrush in a circular motion on both sides of the fabric.

5. You may need to repeat step 4 a few times before the stain is completely removed.

6. Once the stain is gone, it’s time to wash the garment following the care instructions on the labels.

7. If all else fails, or you’re not confident that the stain will come out, bring it to Best and we’ll do the dirty work for you.
